These all-purpose magnetic separators purify free-flowing powders and granular material or concentrate reclaim products in such materials. It also products processing equipment such as grinders, crushers, roll, etc. against tramp iron damage. They can be installed inside closed chutes, at outlets of chutes and hoppers, or where materials discharge from feeders and conveyors. Its rugged construction is ideal for separating ferrous metal from material such as shredded cars, slag, crushed ore and ash at mass burn plants, in foundries recycling plastic, aluminium and glass. In similar operation, it has a nonmagnetic outside shell that is driven around an internal stationary magnet. Ferrous metal is magnetically drawn out of the material feed, held against the revolving shell, and released when it reaches a discharge point beyond the magnetic field.

Working Principle & Magnetic SystemThe permanent magnetic drum consists of stationery permanent magnetic assembly having uniform and everlasting magnetic field across the entire width of the drum, which is effective over approximately half the drum circumference. The drum shell made of non magnetic stainless steel revolves around the magnetic field. As the material feed evenly from the chute falls over the drum, powerful magnetic, field attracts and holds ferrous particles to the revolving shell. As the revolving shell carriers the iron particles through the stationery magnetic field, the non-magnetic material falls freely from the shell while ferrous particles are firmly held till carried beyond divider and out of magnetic field. The strength of the permanent magnetic drum is guaranteed to be grater than corresponding electromagnetic drum.
Closed Type Drum Separator ConfigurationThe totally enclosed type drum is available with a chute type feeder, hopper, adjustable feed regulation gate, magnetic drum and geared motor drive in a ready for use condition. Inlet and outlet openings are flanged for ease of connection to customers duck work. Double or triple totally enclosed machines can also be supplied it required by clients.
Wet Drum SeparatorWe offer wet permanent magnetic separators in dia 1200mm (48’) and 916mm (36’) iron lengths of up to 3000mm (10’). Three basic separator designs are available for copping, roughing and finishing / cleaning applications. Each type can be supplied in single drum or multiple drum stages of taconite or magnetic and also for recovery for magnetic medium in dense media plants.
The stationery magnet yoke is an assembly of rare earth neodymium permanent magnets. The rotation drum is available with optional rubber or stainless steel covers. The magnetic flux pattern will match the tank configuration for optimum performance.
